We set off to conquer Mt Wilson (Mt Challenge 2 walk) both armed with a delicious banquet of food wearing our Vibram Fivefingers. The circuit took us about 2 hours with only one relatively steep ascent.

We anticipated that we would get our feet wet at the river crossing but the river was surprisingly low given the recent rains.

Other than a few trailer riders nobody else was to be seen. Pure bliss!

Thank you Secret Forest Walks.

03/03/2012 - We set out on the treasure hunt with incorporated cryptic clues along the way. This was not a normal tour in fact it was a Hen's Day... The girls all in brightly colored wigs set of around Lake Daylesford and down to the springs. Unfortunately we struck out with the weather and it pretty much rained the whole time, but the girls kept their spirits up and with umbrellas in tow set off. We all had a fantastic time, and want to give big shout out to Brendan for his help in setting up the cryptic clues, and for all that was done in the lead up. Highly recommended for any occasion!!

Hi Brendan

I wanted to thank you for your recent efforts for our group ... our personalised walk was a huge success having a little bit of everything ... the team all enjoyed the challenge and the scenery, and was the perfect opportunity for our team to spend some time together. We loved the Roller Coaster a little more challenging than we expected!.

We would certainly recommend to our clients be it for a small group activity or a team building activity.

Thanks again

The Team from International Medical Recruitment set out on the Team Builder 2 walk as part of our annual staff conference in early July. Despite some fairly poor weather during the lead up to the event, it was a lovely morning, and the overnight rain helped bring out the best in the beautiful surroundings.

We had 15 people split into 4 teams, and organised a treasure hunt whereby teams had to collect pieces for a jigsaw puzzle along the way, to assemble at the finish line. The crisp and fresh mountain air was just what the doctor ordered to clear a few weary (and sore) heads from the previous night’s celebrations.

The tracks were all in great condition despite a reasonable amount of rain, and the walk itself was very enjoyable. The keen observers of the group were lucky enough to spot out a few Kangaroos and Gang Gang Cockatoos, and the scenery was fantastic the whole way.

A drink from the natural springs at the end of the walk was a perfect finishing touch, and all staff members gave very positive feedback on the activity. I would highly recommend Secret Forest Walks to work groups looking for a team building activity, or even just families or individuals looking to explore the wonderful scenery around Daylesford and Hepburn Springs.

Brendan was fantastic in his assistance in setting the activity up, and also in his briefing to all of our staff members. The GPS units were easy to operate and also gave the winning team the information on their average walking pace for bragging rights. Thanks again for a wonderful day!

The small green valley walk left me feeling refreshed, my senses awoken and thoroughly satisfied, the only downside being that the experience was over too soon (even though the 6km walk took us 4 hrs to cover). The enclosed walking trails were a new experience and it was thrilling being dwarfed by trees and walking amongst shrubs exposing only our heads, as well as navigating large puddles.

The briefing was very well laid out and all aspects of personal safety and GPS use were covered. Overall, my partner and I would highly recommend this walk, I've taken so many great pictures as evidence.

Thanks again Brendan!

It was great to be away from civilization and to enjoy nature's gifts. Brendan was an excellent and thoughtful guide. He provided us with walk options that suited the limited time we had on that day (in addition, he put in consideration based on what we liked to see and weather on that day). We finished our walk around 6.30pm, Brendan msg us to make sure we were fine as soon the sky was going dark and it could be dangerous.

I guess the only thing i may recommend ppl is to wear hiking shoes (water proof if possible). If you have insect repellent, bring along with you.

Anyway, I had a great time and will go back again and do another walk.
Thank you Brendan, I appreciate your time and effort organizing the walk for us :)

This walk was absolutely AMAZING!! We were in awe of the magic of the bush, and certainly left more centered and grounded than when we walked in!! Highly recommended!! Brendan thought of everything and even came in looking for us when we were running a bit late because we were mesmerized by the beauty of this area!!
